Dr. Patalon is the Head of R&D at Maccabi Group, an Israeli leading healthcare organization serving 2.7M members. Previously Dr. Patalon served as the Head of KSM, the Research and Innovation Center at Maccabi, where she led a multidisciplinary approach to data, AI and global health research.

She is an active clinician specialized in family and emergency medicine, as well as a passionate entrepreneur and applied researcher promoting the development of innovative HealthTech solutions. She is also a contributor to Forbes.com. in the field of healthcare innovation.

Dr. Patalon is also the Founder of Medāna, a global health AI company that empowers healthcare organizations to integrate AI solutions rapidly, and safely and ethically, transforming data into actionable insights and meaningful impact.

In 2024, Nature featured Patalon as one of four changemakers who are confronting health challenges through big data analytics and AI. In addition, she was chosen as one of Forbes Israel 2024 PowerWomen.

For the past four seasons, Dr. Patalon has hosted A Matter of Life and Death, a thought-provoking podcast that has captivated a global audience. In each episode, she hosts international experts or key opinion leaders in a riveting exploration of main challenges and developments in the fields of science, technology, economy, finance, research AI and media.

Over the years she developed and implemented an integrative, Small-Big-Data methodology that reinforces the feedback loop between clinical insights and data analysis, helping to shape global health policies, and improving healthcare across the globe.
